Busquets finally back with the group from Spain
Spain coach Luis Enrique confirmed that captain Sergio Busquets could play against Poland on Saturday, despite his return to the squad after being isolated for 12 days.
Busquets contracted the Corona virus on June 6 during a training camp in Spain and returned to his home in Barcelona, though he continued to train individually because he did not suffer from any symptoms.
The midfielder returned to the team camp on Friday morning after recovering from his injury, and traveled to Seville to face Poland on Saturday.
Enrique said: “No problem, he was asymptomatic for the 12 days he was away from the team, and he was able to continue training. His conditions are right to participate.”
He added: “We were in daily contact with him via messages, he was far away but as if he was here with us. He was acting like a captain of the team.”
